WELCOME!

Yesterday, I turned a page in the book that is my life. These last two years have been immensely intense and bountiful, and I am so grateful for everything and to everyone who have been part of all this. 

I am Elodie, a Frenchy who moved to the UK in 2011 when I was offered a job as a French teaching assistant at Downe House school in Berkshire. This job was for me the opportunity to come back in the UK which I immediately fell in love with when I spent a year as an au pair in 2007. I then went back to France for three years to study and get a journalism degree, although the only thing I ever wanted was to be back on the beautiful English soil.

And here I am today... My work contract at the school finished just yesterday, I am now looking out for a new job and I am living and settled in Reading with my British boyfriend, and determined to get a dog in a close future. 

Could I be living the dream? Never in my life I would have thought I would have achieved all this by the age of 23, but one can never know what life may hold in store for you.

Hier, j'ai tourné une page importante dans ma vie. Ces deux dernières années ont été immensément intenses et riches, et je suis reconnaissante pour chaque moment et envers chaque personne qui en ont fait partie, de près ou de loin.

Je suis Elodie, une Frenchy qui s'est installée au Royaume-Uni en 2011 quand j'ai obtenu un poste d'assistante de français à l'école de Downe House dans la région du Berkshire. Ce travail était pour moi l'opportunité parfaite pour revenir en Angleterre, un pays dont je suis immédiatement tombée amoureuse quand j'y ai passé une année en tant que fille au pair en 2007. Je suis ensuite rentrée en France pendant trois ans pour y étudier et obtenir ma licence de journalisme à Nancy, bien que la seule chose dont j'avais alors envie était de retourner vivre sur le sol anglais.

Et me voilà aujourd'hui... Mon contrat de travail à l'école s'étant terminé hier, je suis à l'affut d'un nouvel emploi, je vis à Reading où je me suis désormais posée avec mon copain British, et avec qui je prévois d'adopter un chien dans un futur très proche.

Mon rêve se serait-il donc réalisé? Jamais de ma vie je n'aurais imaginé pouvoir accomplir et avoir vécu tout cela à l'age de 23 ans, mais après tout il est impossible de savoir ce que la vie nous réserve.
